I want my piece to be... artistic.
I have no idea how.
I've always liked Branden's stuff, but I could probably not do it.
And I like the idea of doing something in another language, like Rene did.
I want it to be... creative and artistic and different.
I just need a story or idea to start it off.

The language idea is cool...do you speak any? If so why not just run with it. Starting a creative piece is never easy but the key to it is not to hesitate. Just go with whatever first comes to mind and you'll figure it all out along the way.

First of all, thanks SOOOOO much for your comments, they're a major help. I think that the language thing IS cool, something in Italian might be interesting. It's actually not impossible to do what Brandon does, you just need to shed any sort of self restraint and and self conciousness. And add filters. Lots of filters. I learned a great way to think of ideas. Get a newspaper and read all the crime blotters and 'news in short' sections. You can get some great random ideas to work off of. Also try posting a new idea every day for a week, it doesnt matter what, just some random theme. I promise I'll comment on them and I'm sure Joe, Rene and Andrew will too.
