Okay.
I have some sort of vague idea of what I might want to do.
Originally, Joe told me I should do something related to leaving home and moving on, etc... (My mom told me a couple of months ago that she might move to Germany, so the theme is all sort of based on that.)
I wanted, orginally, to do some sort of narrative piece about a girl (or guy, whatever), who finds out that their parent is moving away (or some other big, life changing piece of news, details are sketchy) and all day sees symbols that remind her of that, so she feels like she can't escape from it and it's all that she can think about.
But, it might be hard to do something with an actor, so I'm probably changing it somehow to make it more abstract and less narrative-like.
Any critque you can offer would be great, even if it's just to say that it's a terrible idea. ANYTHING.
Thank you.

Thats interesting. I like the idea of her being reminded of everything, and maybe coming to terms with it? Working with actors isn't hard, surprisingly they listen to you and do what you say... mostly. I'd love to hear what else you've got kicking around
I think the narrative premise sounds cool...I'm picturing a girl hanging downtown, aboretum (very expressive trees there ;), newbury st, hahvahd sq (for some reason i'm thinking japanese pins...), and having reflective shots on her every so often, contrasted with when she is engaged and with people and possibly moments of being surrounded but still feeling empty/alone, and shots in the train station would be symbolic of moving on as well (Backbay/SOuth Station). Maybe you could have a dream sequence type jaunt to eastie + the airport...french/euopean people smoking (black and white! black and white!)/eating at an outdoor resturaunt (north end!)
also, you should have street preformers. every decent movie ever made has street preformers. ever.
p.s. u see me everyday. so I'm not that much of a weirdo as this may seem. guess?
i like that idea a lot. i've sort of worked with actors before...but I maybe you could do it without one. see you tomorrow and we'll discuss our ideas more!
